Kanye West--My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

Kanye West's new album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, is possibly his best work yet. I say this because every song is unique on the album, yet it is a great album as a whole.  After I heard his single, Runaway, I thought the rest of the album would sound similiar, but it doesn't really.  Surprisingly, a lot of the other songs seem like they could have fit perfectly on his older albums, such as The College Dropout.  After the not so popular 808's and Heartbreaks, Kanye West is undoubtedly back with this album.  Mainly I enjoy this album so much because it is consistent throughout, and it seems like Kanye West invested a lot of time and thought into this new project of his.  My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is definitley part of my top five best albums of 2010.

JENNY & JOHNNY-- 'I'M HAVING FUN NOW' (2010)

I'm Having Fun Now is the debut album of the duo simply titled Jenny and Johnny.  Jenny Lewis, from Rilo Kiley, and musician Jonathon Rice made a record together after collaberating for years. Most of the songs on the album are upbeat and happy, with Jenny and Johnny usually singing harmonies together.  I think their voices sound really sweet together and they did a great job, considering it is their first album as a pair.  Although the album is not my absolute favorite, I still recommend checking it out.  The album title is definitley fitting-- I guarantee you will feel happy and have fun if you listen to this album.

Beach House - Teen Dream (2010)

Here is a duo who take their talents and merge them to create simply great music.  On their third album fittingly titled "Teen Dream",  Baltimore's Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand succeed at making a cohesive album, while managing to have each track be good on its own.  Legrand's beautiful and dreamy vocals mixed with Scally's talent on the guitar and the keyboard are a perfect combination.  "Teen Dream" is an album with songs full of passion.  If you have not checked them out yet, you should.  Their first two albums, "Devotion" and their self-titled debut are also full of good tracks, but I consider this newest album their best.  Key tracks: "Zebra" because of its lyrics like "Don't I know you better than the rest?" "Silver Soul" because of how hard it is not to sing along with Legrand's vocals, and "Real Love" because of the gorgeous piano part.
